Just got in from the game, this is the first thread I've looked at because I thought he was outstanding tonight. Calm in posession, good decision maker, dangerous moving forward with the ball, tough in the tackle. He's got it all. I honestly can't quite believe we've got him, he could play in just about every prem midfield. What a great night. Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!

All of this. Diakite = Quality. ( I would of got in about the same time as you Woody, but I had some feckin eejit texting me from Kerry in Ireland and I had to stop to write my reply. )

Hes class as is Taiwo, cant believe so many people were writing them off after seeing them for 90 mins.

Just needs to stop the silly tackles.

Just goes to show that you have to give a new player a descent run before judging. Both have played really great lately, and could be the ones to keep us up this season. Many on here would have sent both back to where they came from after first couple games they played for us, but not many want them gone now. They could be new R's legends in making!

You gotta love him, pure quality. Almost reason alone to stay up so that we can keep him.

I was saying something similar after the game last night. Staying up would give us the opportunity to see both Diakite and Taiwo to develop with us and that is a tantalizing prospect.

he had a great game & is now settling down after getting used to pace of the prem, he does worry me sometime when carrying the ball out & going on runs he will lose it but last night it didn't happen & he just strolled though them.

I have a mate that calls him Die-a-kite. Shame it isn't as we could use the old Mary Poppins favourite .......

Let's go Di a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go Di a kite and send us soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up through the premier
Oh, let's go Di a kite!

Even if he's only on loan, we have a view to sign him anyway. i'm pretty sure with the passion he's showing after the games that he is enjoying playing for the club. If we stay up I expect him to be here next season.

He was outstanding last night and Swansea looked scared of him Barton however made me eat my words he was brilliant not for his play which was excellent but for the way he organised the team .. You could hear him talking all th etime and he directed the game... he was telling Adel to stand off his player while idiots around me were calling for him to close down ... it don't work like that ... the team bit into Swansea at the right time .. every time and chased them backwards when it was required ... The game last night was tactical brilliance and way out of Neil Wannock's League.
The team last night would have held any team ... its was very very good and made Swansea look clueless

Agree, we'd have beaten anyone last night. You can't beat LR under lights when the stakes are high.

I think over the last few games there is now a new found respect for us and what we can do....Any team coming to HQ has to be on top of thier game....Showed exactly what a diffrence our superb fans and supporters can make.....

MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO THOSE OF YOU WHO MADE THE GAME LAST NIGHT...FANTASTIC / ELECTRIC ATMOSPHERE.

You guys and girls are the real diffrence.....!!

PS..farflung..i promise not to watch any more games live this season...so dont be ringing me up to go down the pub on Sat then !!

He may be the new Viera, but he's not ours. He's on loan until the end of the season a few more performances like that and we may struggle to sign him.

Like Taiwo, I believe we have the option of signing both if we stay up. The other teams cant refuse to sell now as its already been agreed.
