For all the open communication from TF and others this one remains a complete mystery. I think we have a right to know how a player who looked like being a world class attacking midfielder never got a game after the ACON in a squad that ended up relegated by a mile. He didn't seem like the type of player who would give up or throw a wobbly - quite the opposite as he often had too much enthusiasm for his own good. Stop sniping 'Arry and give us the facts.

    Thanks GC.

I put it down to getting the right people around me. In recent weeks I've been surrounding myself with geriatrics. Sure there's still a few of the others that want out but I'm working hard to get rid of those.

I also expect someone new to arrive in the next couple of weeks who will literally blow my mind (my fault for ordering a postal bride from the NRA).

Another disappointment. But his heart and head were clearly elsewhere from the very start of last season, long before HR ever showed up, so no point in blaming Deputy Dog for this one.

I don't see how you can blame Arry for Diakite and the rest of Hughes signing having absolutely no back bone Hughes managed to put together a squad that conceded them selves to relegation after 1game. I can’t remember a team going down with such a lack of fight. Even Derby (2007 Season) who were woeful put up more of fight then the mercenaries Hughes put together. Great management give yourself a pat on the back

I think we have to stop blaming Hughes after this window - anyone who is left you have to assume Harold wants. Including Zamora.

I can only assume it was a depressed knee, Vern. Very painful, one of them.

If all these players were so good, why isn't MH queuing up to take them on the cheap??
Cos they're not up to it! How embarrassing is that?

Diakite is a liability, pure and simple. So many of our misfits have had their chance so good riddance...

Such a shame as things did look promising. But again, if he doesnt want to be here then he can go.

Also, re Harry's comments on players suddenly picking up injuries - Remy is another one I bet.

Never rated him, very happy to see him go. Didn't even show potential in my eyes, unless "potential" means yellow and red cards and lunging into tackles 5 minutes too late.

I posted something on these lines myself a few days back, as to how "we" now seem to prefer a thug to a maverick, what has happened?

I agree with Beth to a large part that we have also love triers and passion (Gary Waddock being a perfect example, Shaun Derry and Clint Hill the most recent), but surely skill above all else.

I think the bottom line is so many of us are craving a well-balanced team, it's so long since we've seen one...

I'm guessing in Diakite's case being a 'maverick' involves f**king off somewhere else for the entire season: what a legend, QPR fans should adore him.

Nice to hear fellow fans critising their compatriots over not appreciating talent that has done so little for their Club - with the possible exception of Cisse.
