PNP you are arguing with someone who clearly knows his football from his arse he has already put you right by telling you that the sunday mirror has declared that nasri is staying at arseniltrophiesin6years so give up
To be completely honest, I think we fans read far too much into stories like this. Most footballers have friends who play for other clubs and swap shirts. The rivalry between fans is not replicated nearly as much between footballers. Very few of them have the same club loyalties that we do as fans. The story is a bit of a laugh and material for a cheap dig - but that's about it really Although I wouldn't rule out seeing Diaby wearing his Spurs shirt in the street to change the oil on his car, or maybe to eat a big greasy kebab and wipe his fingers on. We've all got old rags that we wear for the dirty jobs....
I remember this argument on BBC606 when Spurs were in the qualifier last season. Whilst spurs fans then were vehement in their assertion that they were in the comp at this stage, I would have to agree with PNP and say that a team is not in the comp proper until they have qualified.
I agree, technically and by definition of playing a Champions league game, you are in the competition. Which was the argument that Spurs fans rightly used last season. But I would still agree with PNP that until you've qualified for the competition proper, you only have one foot in the door.
Dona my mission for this inclement day is to make sure that you don't have the last comment on this thread
I think so, probably the best place for one is hidden in the cupboard, or buried under a ton of rubble
