This is what he said about his transfer speculation.

"It hurts when you're always doing your best for your club and then you hear that you might be going to Tottenham"

 

That's surely not a real quote?

 

Apparently it is but what he really meant is that it hurts that he's doing well for real but then he hears that he might end up being sold.

Ok, well the context makes it more understandable.

Hurts he may have been used as a makeweight as part of the Bale deal.

 

Brilliant player. Best player by a mile in the champions league final and madrid fans will tell you hes their best player based on the last 12 months.

High praise really considering who he lines up with and the fact hes been played in midfield.

 

Di Maria bossed the CL final. He was linked with Arsenal a year ago. He would do them a lot more benefit than Fabrigas or Milner.

what wages is he on?

just wondering if this is a ploy to get better wages out of real and if not one of the rich clubs will pay it.

as has already been said he was the best player in final so nothing to lose really, should imagine he has won most of it as a player he can being at real anyway.

 

Di Maria has been linked with every english club since his benfica days.

Would improve every side in the division.

He wants to stay but as is always the case with madrid, hes for sale.

 

Last I heard, Madrid were happy to get rid if it means they can sign the likes of Suarez, Cavani, Falcao or (their top target) Aguero. For that reason, Benzema is also available at the right price. Di Maria is awesome, but simply not a big enough name for them. Benzema is good, but not the highest level player they want.

God knows how much they'd ask for Di Maria though. No doubt well out of our budget!

 

I thought last season, it was either going to be Ozil or Di Maria leaving, with Arsenal then buying Ozil

If Ozil was £40m, then I guess Di Maria would be same price as him? Which is a low price

Would be tempted by £50m plus Di Maria for Suarez, if Suarez says he wants to leave that is.
