calling ellis weak is certainly not the case , he ousted a big name manager with a few games left last season, this was a massive risk ,but he called it right, now with five games gone he has made another massive decision , if anybody thinks this is weak i beg to differ i think we have one of the best in the prem
He could be accused of a lack of judgement and of not doing his homework properly - unless, that is, the decisions are made by Maggie Byrne and he just signs it off. That could potentially be even worse. The thing is, we just don't really know.
The OP has a point and if it weren't for what has come out since PdC was sacked, I would generally agree with his points, with a few exceptions. However, it is clear that PdC was a bit nuttier than we thought, based on the reports coming out of the SoL. Certainly the results were bad, but we had agreed that it would take time to turn the SAFC tanker round. But it seems PdC was a bit more left field than was good for the club in the event. It's sad, because we all wanted a fresh approach with the rubbish cleared out and prima donna attitudes binned and PdC seemed to be the man. Ultimately, that doesn't appear to have been the case, but I still miss the mad bastard...
