Mainly because my missus is Colombian. After years of country hopping round Europe and having our first child, we decided to move to Colombia to raise her. Most of my work can be done remotely from here for clients in Europe/US but I have just started a few projects locally in Medellin. Naturally, they dont pay as well but I need to start building up a history here or the banks wont touch me. Its not what you would expect here, its a modern city. We've had a 4G network in the city for about the last 6 months. Medellin boasts probably one of the finest and cleanest metro systems in the world. It's safe here despite the bullshit you see in the news over there but very easy to go off into a dodgy area, much like Glasgow actually. that and the fanny is ****ing tremendous.
