at the game last night instead of a minutes silence for John Bond and to be honest I think its what he would have wanted as well.Anyone agree or am I being disrespectful.
I think it's down to what the family wants. Also there is going to be a minutes applause on saturday.
Oh ok,i didnt know that.Pleased.

It's just a personal thing, but I prefer the silence, it seems far more emotional and respectful.
I feel a bit uncomfortable applauding someones death, even if it is meant as a celebration of their life!
I always respected John Bond for what he did for the club, and while the silence was happening last night I had my own private thoughts, I find it easier to that in the silence.
I won't applaud at the Liverpool game, but I will have respect for John Bond while the rest clap!
I guess it's probably an age thing!!!!!

I think it's a great decision to do both, last night was a perfect opportunity with a smaller crowd fr the silence and then on Saturday with a full house to give his life the applause it deserves. And can you seriously imagine there being complete silence with a couple of thousand scousers in attendance? There is absolute zero chance even thirty seconds of it would pass without at least a handful of them piping up and making a racket.
I personally love the idea of the applause, just like I've always look at funerals in a positive way, choosing to celebrate everything the person did and achieved in their time rather than wallowing in the fact that they're no longer with us. And on saturday for me it is the only way to do it to ensure full respect is paid to his memory![]()

silence followed by huge burst of applause, works best for me
I think the silence carries alot more impact, 27,000 people in silence is quite a moving thing to see.
