Mbia is playing CB and we have questions about all the other CMs, 2 unfit and 2 coming back from injury. He can do a job for the moment but I wouldnt mind him going on loan in a month or two if everyone is back and fit.

Whether Mbia play CB or CM from the first three games it is clear Hughes would rather play Park out of position , a half fit Ali or Granero who has been in the country less than 48hrs . As i said he is 5th/6th choice for CM and will only play if all these guys are unavailable. To go on loan will be a waste of time. He is simply there for cover that will hopefully not be needed.

As said already I think he has a key role to play whether is is on the pitch, bench or in the dressing room at half time. I think is is a real motivator.

Amazing. No matter how many times Derry makes high impact appearances (central to our promotion season and central to our survival in the PL just a few months ago) people still question his ability to do it again.

I would like to think that Derry could be here longer than just this year although maybe not in a playing capacity. Sometimes we see players with talent but without the mental strength and believe whereas (and I sincerely mean no disresepct to Mr's Derry & Hill), they have the heart of lions and fully appreciate all the game has given them. Whilst you cannot drill this into players they can at least learn from players that earnt their right to perform at the top level.

Ive thought the same as well, Id add in Cerny as well who has been extremely professional the whole time hes been here.

I think theyd all make good coaches.

Same with Clint Hill. Was our stand out performer last season, not just in defence but including the entire team. A certain Mr Ferdinand beside him was far less reliable.

This season, the defence is all over the shop in the first two games and who gets the blame? Ferdinand? Nope.
