I never got one in the first place.

In 1982, My mum was petrified I'd get posted to NI and when I was, I phoned her up to tell her about leaving after finishing band school, she asked me where I was going so I said London. I didn't add the Derry part. I was only half lying.

I never had a choice, it was deducted from every soldier, sailor and airman's wages. There was no option to opt out.

I was at Junior leaders Folkestone when they got married, (we were doing music for a Pop there) I can't remember them deducting my money but it wouldn't surprise me. I was quite anti the Royals even back then, I only joined to play music full time. Nearly all the other guys were watching on a B&W tv in a Nissen hut. There was no plug in the main room so they'd run in an extension, from the office. Me and my mate who didn't care about it were watching them and the TV through the window. We barred the door and just as she was about to get out of the carriage we pulled out the plug and ran like hell.

I did indeed, after having my eyes well and truly opened to reality.

Within a year or two of that and the Falklands, very soon after which Thatcher closed down Chatham docks, made redundant thousands of Dockies who'd worked round the clock to support her evil ways, I finally got the whole picture in full.

No, they'd have needed Dolph Lungren if it was me.

OOooooft. We should make a Born on the fourth of July style film about this.

On another subject, what do you make of the Buccs new uniform? Think the 100% offense draft will work?

Yeah it's a good change, particularly the helmet. But they will never better Bucco Bruce. As to the draft after losing Revis, no.

Aye, they should go back to the old creamsicle numbers.

Mate of mine is a Buccs fan and has been to Raymond James a couple of times.

I think the NFC South could be wide open - Panthers won't be the force they were last season (no Smith etc).

I've got to get there one day. If London ever gets a franchise, I have a feeling it could well be the Buccs. An expansion would be better but I can't see it any time soon.
