But surely Jackson is supposed to be that great striker ? Instead we have someone whos been here years and never performed at the level required, couple that to Ladapo who has no sense of urgency, slow to react to a promising situation, and despite being tall cant win headers, i just hope that once Ahuadme is fit he will be the answer to our lousy strikers we have now.
We need deputies and support players. Jackson has plenty to offer as an option and a squad player. Ladapo seemingly not much. I don’t know if roastings are McKenna’s style but he deserves one for his performance last night.
Ladapo just didn't look fit to me,he appeared to run out of steam within 10 minutes of coming on last night.
Do you think? He was giving up on everything far too easily, as soon as he came on. As for the last couple of minutes of injury time, surely at that point you need to give absolutely everything in the tank to close down your player and try to stop them creating an equaliser. All ten others were doing it, Ladapo stuck out like a sore thumb I thought.
I thought we did our one touch football out of tight spots brilliantly yesterday, I think the best I’ve seen under McKenna.
Perhaps I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.There was one instance,not too long after he came on,when the ball was played back across the centre circle and he started to "sprint" after it and didn't seem to have anything in the tank!
Good game and great atmosphere. Loved the pyrotechnics at the start! Another match played, another three points. Don't care who is scoring and who is not if the points keep rolling in. Ladapo's lack of effort was very noticeable.
