I think at various times, Bruce has claimed that pretty much every player other than McGregor covers more ground than anyone else.

He's certainly said it about Livermore, Meyler and Hernandez.

I rate Clucas very highly myself though I can see why people have frustations with him. I think his first season at this level has been excellent in all honesty. He goes the extra-yard, if Hernandez had his sort of work-ethic then I don't think he would have been on such a long streak without goals. I've said it before but the workers in our team have it cut out over-compensating for slower players like Diame and Hudds so it's no wonder they are struggling with stamina issues now, that two-week gap came just at the right time for Clucas and I think Robertson will tail off a lot unless Bruce finds a way to rest him soon

He's even said McGregor covered more ground than one outfielder - but that was Ben Arfa.

Agree with a lot of that but I don't think Tom is lazy. I think he gets some unfair stick just because he's a big lad really. He looks a lot lazier than he is.

Totally agree, he ran a lot yesterday. His awareness and positioning make up for the fact that he doesn't run much. He can pick out anybody on the pitch without running, so I don't see why he has to run all the time.

On the other hand I'm a lot lazier than I look.

Bruce quoted stats from specific equipment (catapult) they use for monitoring player performance. Once may be a mistake, but 3-4 times isn't an error, it's more than likely fact.

He's a great player and a great buy, I liked Quinn, if we had both - Clucas would still start ahead of him as he's the better player. Independent player rating sites have Clucas with a higher average rating on games played to date, and on other key indicators. As they don't have a preference for either player - then it's safe to say that based on the facts below, Clucas really is the better player.

7.26 for Clucas in 35 appearances
7.00 for Quinn in 19 appearances
8 assists and 6 goals to date for Clucas
1 assist and 0 goals to date for Quinn
    1.7 Shots per game Clucas
    0.7 Shots per game Quinn
    81% pass success Clucas
    83.5% pass success Quinn
    2.4 Aerial Duals Won Clucas
    0.7 Aerial Duals Won Quinn
4 Man of the match awards Clucas
1 Man of the match award Quinn

Apart from passing success - Clucas nails Quinn in every other department.

8 assists for Clucas is pretty impressive.

The goal posts in fairness probably covered more ground than Ben Arfa.

Middlesbrough has two home matches this week, while City has two away matches. It wouldn't be a terrible thing to end up still 4 points behind them. A run of home matches while 'brough plays away could be the golden opportunity to close the gap.

What's not in your book? Are you a few chapters short of a novel?

Just rang City ticket office. People will be able to pay on the night at Derby but it will cost £3 per ticket more.

It costs £2 to go into the City club shop and buy one anyway.

A better option for anyone who doesn't live within walking distance of the KC though.

*Gazza famously said that Franco Baresi was the best player he ever shared a pitch with, purely because he didn't run. Gazza said he came off the pitch ****ed and dripping in sweat and he looked across to Baresi who was as fresh as a daisy cos he always positioned himself exactly where he knew the ball / man would be.

*This was before Gazza was a piss fuelled husk of a man.
