I see Rooney has turned down talking to Everton about the manager's job. At this stage of his career, I would say a sensible move. If he goes, then the chances are he could damage what reputation he has built so far, at Derby for the moment he really can't lose.
I hear Lampard's been offered it now.

Might not have been all over Vietnamese papers and TV. The poster I responded to may not have been aware.

You said you had heard as though it was some revelation. You could have just said Lampard had been offered the job.

He might have read my post quoting the BBC article. ;)

You chose to read it as though I thought it was some sort of revelation, presumably because there were no spelling or grammatical errors for you to bang on about.

No, you wrote it as thought it was something you had heard that wasn't general knowledge.
I am sure the poster in Vietnam has access via the Internet to English news sources. Doubt if he relies on Vietnamese papers for his information unless he is fluent in the language.

People get a bit cross-threaded on this board and get their panties in a tangle.

It is funny, but I think it's even funnier because he displayed his loyalty by turning down a club that hadn't even asked him to manage them. <laugh>
According to him, Everton contacted his agent. He turned down the chance to be interviewed .

I hope they get through it, it is not nice to see a club in trouble the supporters never asked for it to be like it is just like we never, ****ing greedy idiots who run the clubs, Rooney has done an outstanding job there and if he left i think he would be offered plenty more at other clubs.
