Who plays the no.10 role instead, unless there is a player in U23s we do not have a better player?
Willock can play in the '10' role.

Something right EamonFFS. What happened? No penalties given away today. What are we doing?

Nice post 999's, it made me smileI thought that was a good game. We played an almost perfect away performance but couldn't score. Adomah's skill to create the Dykes chance was Taarabtesque. We looked in control and with the exception of the Rooney chance they looked impotent. Great save by Dieng by the way, I like him. He looks composed, untroubled, and confident. A bit like David Seaman. I think we have our keeper, at long last.
The second half wasn't unsurprising. Derby couldn't be as bad as they were in the first. They pressed high and played with more urgency without creating much. It was a good test for our defence and they coped very well. The trouble for us was, was that in order to beat their press we had to pass forward and with so little options the ball wouldn't stick up front and it was too easy for them to come back onto us. This made watching the game frustrating from a QPR fan's point of view. But if you watch it back you will see how we held our defensive shape if the forward ball came to nothing. We held two narrow banks of three and four leaving little space for Derby to exploit. It reminded me of the Inter v Barcelona Champions League semi-final second leg in 2010, when Jose Mourinho exhibited a defensive masterclass.
After winning 3-1 at the San Ciro, Inter's Thiago Motta was sent off in the 28th minute. At this point, Barca needed to score three goals to progress to the final. Jose adopted a blanket defence policy. Wave after wave of Barcelona attacks came at Inter and it was only in the 84th minute that their defence was breached with a Pique goal. Inter winning 3-2 against the odds. In goal for Inter that night was one Julio Cesar. Which is really the only bona fide link to this comparison
Get in there you Rssssssssss !!!! What a thoroughly enjoyable win. Two lovely wins on the bounce? We're being spoilt I tell ya![]()

Carroll too, though I think he is better further back like today.Willock can play in the '10' role.
I realise that most on here have an irrational hatred for Rooney, but if it hadn't been for a very good save from Dieng, which Lumley wouldn't have made and the width of the post from a brilliant strike, he would have scored two.
All be it at around 20% of his former powers.

Yes, that was last season. Yesterday he was Derby’s best player by far...Rooneys best was.his assist for Eze last season![]()
Yep. Would take Kakay of Kane any day of the week.Yep, Nico grew into the game and looks a better defender than Manning and better at everything compared to Wallace.
He's inexperienced and will make mistakes but I like him.
Kakay is possibly a little unlucky to see Kane starting ahead of him.
Kane probably rewarded for his goal.

I guess it comes down to how much he is being paid, if its 10K a week then yes he is still a quality player to have, if he is on 100k a week I would have thought there are better players out there u could get in for 100k a weekRecorded the game and watched it this morning.
Thought that was a really good team performance. Well organised in defence, Dickie and Kane were excellent and what a wonderful feeling to have an actual bona-fide goalkeeper, its most unusual.
We still miss the cut and thrust Eze gave us but things are looking more promising.
Side note, its bizarre folk still question Rooney's quality.

It was a brilliant tackle, although I guess if the Pole hadn't been diving around all game ref might have been fooled into giving itLooked like a good tackle to me - more bitter losers tears....
Should QPR's winner have stood?
QPR scored a late goal through Macauley Bonne to take all three points against Derby, but Rams boss Phillip Cocu suggested there may have been a foul in the build-up.
