I thought our keeper did okay tonight, do we need better, yes, is he better than Lonergan YES by a mile
Although Lonergan makes some **** ups, I still think he communicates better with his defenders and is more commanding in his area...
The midfield and attacking players that finished the game tonight have to all start the next game. I just don’t rate Lonergan in the slightest, he can’t distribute the ball past the halfway line
That's good of him, Shako, I didn't realise you were mod, is Glory paying for your hotel and bar bill too?
You in a bad mood because the Bohs beat the rovers He also promises to buy me a millhill kebab and tuck me into bed.......
Agree - he was OK tonight but his distribution is shocking. The 2nd Derby goal was Janssons fault - ball looped up by Huddlestone and he should have won the header but miss-judged it - for a bloke as tall as him he should win far more headers in the danger zone than he does!!
Whilst I'm pretty disgusted at some of the individual performances tonight there are still some positives to take from the game. 1) Imagine Pontus playing with another capable centre half and a decent goalkeeper behind them. 2) Siaz is the best footballer we've had since the PL days. 3) Forshaw could be very important for us if we can find the right midfield blend. 4) Paul Heckingbottom is a very good coach and he'll jettison the one's not fit to wear the shirt soon enough. This season in terms of promotion is over but we'll be far better equipped come the start of next season. For me that's progress as it's massively important we are strong both on and off the pitch before being promoted back to the PL.
........not bad OLOF, just recovering from man flu. The tickets were sold out two weeks before the match for the home side.
Final thought for tonight... I'll be renewing my ST both for next season and for the foreseeable future as there is nothing quite like being there when the place is rocking. Fortunately Publicity Pete f***ed it all up otherwise we'd be playing in some soulless stadium miles from the city centre. Glass half full is always better than wondering where your next drink is coming from I find.
You've got a massive job on your hands at the end of the season and Orta will be pulling the strings again. 1) Lassoga goes - his contract runs out at Hamburg, and no way on earth can you afford his wages - He's starting to look like a good player! 2) Keeping hold of Saiz 3) You have a very big squad and lots of it deadwood on long contracts (Grot, Cibliki, O'Kane, Sacko, De Bock, Ekuban, Klich etc etc - also Antonsson and Murphy coming back from their loan deals. Your wage bill is £7M higher than last season - won't be easy shifting all of those!
Agree about keeping hold of our best players but at least they are on long term contracts so it would take offers above £15m before they were even considered. However moving on some of the underachievers shouldn't be too difficult as they are all fairly decent players and are not on prohibitive wages.
We will try to save you by beating your relegation rivals mate (as well as beating you twice again of course)
