Alarmingly obvious from that game... Taylor is scared of injury, I totally agree with WJ - Berardi won't be taking Aylings place, it will be Taylor's. Mowatt has already had far too many chances, he isn't good enough, why oh why do coaches keep selecting him. He did nothing all game and still couldn't last 90 minutes. Hernandez, he offered virtually nothing all game, rolls about too much when tackled but then he shows 10 seconds of what he can do before going missing again. We need a better and consistent number 10 Sacko £20m release cause, you have to be kidding, he was poorest of the poor. Not once did any of our attacking players put through a quality ball to Wood. On a positive, O'Kane is quality, 3 minutes from the end he prevented what looked a certain breakaway goal and Bartley and Jansson the best pairing we have had in years. We're not a million miles away, we are a creative spark in midfield short. Our forward movement, too often the ball needed to be very slightly quicker and just a foot or two further forward, players were waiting for it to arrive rather than running on to it.
When I first saw it I thought Roofe had been shot and made a meal of it, watching it again I wondered how it never snapped his leg
fcuking Derby and McClaren ... when Antonsson hit the post O'Kane had his hands in the air celebrating as it flew towards goal ... unlucky, boys certainly pass and move well, just need goals now and we'll be flying ... Wood clearly ran out of gas after flying all over the place, he should retire from playing for NZ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm still not 100% convinced in Monk, yes he swapped Sacko early but our lack of chances were deeper than that. The problem is you know Mowatt can't last 90 minutes so you have to keep a sub ready for him towards the end, ridiculous why he still gets selected.
Just unlucky that we hit the perfect storm for me. New manager bounce for Derby, helped by the fact that the players have been trying to get Pearson the sack from the start of the season. ****ing international break stopping the momentum we were building.
Totally agree Ristac, Mowatt lost his spark ages ago, I too wonder why he keeps getting picked. My needle on Monk is hovering around the 60 to 65 mark out of 100, should've brought Antonsson on around 10 minutes earlier and he very nearly grabbed an equaliser right at end, may well give Monk something to think about, but I doubt it.. We fell victim to a goal that Green should've at least parried away. My take on Monk is he's a favourites coach.....
Good news is, we've only dropped down to 12th and still only 4 points behind 6th place, only Wolves can drop us down another place.
Leeds were solid in the first half, and better than Derby in the second ... Mowatt did alright, Taylor was a real threat getting forward, just needed more bodies in the box ... Leeds are playing a hundred times better than last season, and Monk is doing a fine job ... just unlucky today, we will threaten top six, but typical Leeds fans everyone is suddenly rubbish and the manager needs sacking .. You were watching a different game to me if you thought Taylor and Mowatt did well today... I thought you turned it off in frustration 20 minutes before the end?
Mid table team has mid table performance and deservedly over 90 mins beat us. We are no better than last year.... Wake up ffs. Those of you counting points to sixth should look at points to the drop zone too....
No billy, not me. We aren't going to win every game, no one can. I'm happy that we now go into them thinking that we can and now disappointed when we don't (instead of expecting that we won't). Need to beat Wigan and get on a roll again
I don't want Monk sacked, I didn't want him in the first place I would have kept Evans but that's a different subject done to death. Now we have him I want him to learn quickly, I'm convinced he is lacking a bit in tactical ability but as long as he improves and learns I'm fine.
Ristac, not often I disagree with your posts but he won five from the last six. Think people are overreacting to one defeat in my humble opinion
I know what an obvious truth but i also knew you would have missed it... The one face palm would have been eonugh though.. Nobody had expected you to have processed it.
