3-0 absolutely rubbish keep this up and it will be bottom six not top six-Derby could have have 5-6 goals.

Manning got no where to hide his players his team set up -I’m not a happy man that was ****.

High press???? Our high press is between our defence and midfield, we are great at passing backwards!!!!

Despite what has appeared to be a largely strong start to the season in terms of performances, added to an exciting looking and ambitious transfer window, we’re suddenly sitting here going into the first International Break having only won one game in five.

Good start? OK start? Worrying start??

Blackburn and Swansea away will be no picnics and the game at home against newly promoted, and Liam's ex-team, Oxford United looks like it could be the biggest embarrassment for Bristol City. I can remember many many years ago I went to see us against Oxford just after they were admitted to the league and if I recollect correctly we lost a blowout by 0-4 against them, and I hope that isn't an omen for our future. Today's shocker goes to prove that we aren't even close to being competitive and the fact that so many players failed to show up is a scary sign that we could struggle rather than meet the standards set by other teams much better equipped all around and with some history of being able to get it right. Meanwhile we are forced to continually listen to the prophets and their assertions that this will be our season whilst in fact the wheels still aren't on firmly enough for us to stay the course. Mehmeti, Wells and Cornick should have left the building because they are incapable of producing anything worthwhile whilst one of them is still trying his tricks to absolutely no avail. The QPR fans knew Armstrong's faults only too well and they are now becoming clearly evident as he needs 20 shots to produce anything worthwhile while he continues to give the ball away with ease when with his size no competitor should stand a chance.

That was one of the worst city performances I’ve ever seen. Clueless at both ends. Calamitous and could have probably shipped 3 or 4 more.

Why are we trying to play like Manchester city with a bunch of English league one level players?

What is the point in sticking your brand foreign signing on for 5 minutes of football when the game is already over at 3-0? What does that do for his confidence and mindset?

The fact we can’t keep a clean sheet is a huge sign that you’re doing something wrong. Vyner and Naismith dicking about at the back constantly, playing suicide balls across the front of goal 25 yards apart. 4 times in 20 minutes derby’s loan striker almost intercepted. If that happens once, you don’t do it again. Not try your luck unnecessarily 3 more times.

At the other end, they look so rigid and like they’ve been told to play a very specific way that if that’s not working, they don’t have a plan b and they look like they have no creative freedom. Just crap aimless lofted balls into the box today, hoping the lone man in the box gets on the end of it. He’s had almost a year to do something and they look no better. And defensively we look vastly worse. Derby weren’t even that good and we made them look like Arsenal.

I’ve been a supporter of Manning despite disagreeing with the firing of NP and an appointment of a young unproven manager. But he’s had two full windows, and spent 10x more than what NP did and turned us into a bulging squad that are worse than before he arrived.

I didn’t think the performance was that bad, especially 1st half, we just didn’t take our chances, again. I guarantee we will play worse than that and win this season. 3-0 absolutely flattered Derby imo.
I wonder if it’s time to start Mayulu, and bring Armstrong on late in the game against tired defenders, rather than the other way round.

Absolutely no surprise that certain people are out to hang LM over 1 result….. So predictably boring - it won’t bring your lover boy back, so move in!!

City by far the better side 1st half but couldn't score.
I know if my granny had balls etc but if 2 of our chances had gone, especially Twine hitting the defender on the floor then it would have been a totally different game.
However we got worse as the game went on and you know we've given up on the game when Manning decides to bring on Mehmeti.

You couldn’t call it a good start when we’ve thrown away points and surrenderd leads

At best it’s an OK one, I guess, but todays result and performance causes serious questions to be asked, especially looking at the September fixtures to come

My take on the game- I missed the first 20 mins when apparently we were brilliant. My stream started with their first goal - which I said earlier had a large element of luck in it.
We went on to have a couple of good penalty shouts waved away - again that could possibly be ‘bad luck’.
If we’d had the penalty (if my granny had balls)……

More importantly for me is the trend of shipping goals. No clean sheet so far - conceding 3 goals in 2 separate games (Milwall and Derby)
We need to fix the defence - it was poor even before todays game.

Bristol City don’t play like, or attempt to play like Man City. If they did they would play with higher lines and put more pressure on the ball out of possession. Man City play in overloading patterns and counter press adeptly when they lose the ball. Bristol City do not.

Out of possession this complex shape Manning played yesterday had problems when the ball was lost in the second third.

It's obvious we don't play like Man City.
But I understand the thrust of Rhino's 'Man City' comment.
