No surprise really. They probably got their snow shovels out so they can clear their way to innocence.

That or their sponsor probably paid for the independent review like they do Rooney.

Yet another cop out after Snowgate. :emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil

You could bet your house on us being slaughtered if we did something similar.

Brum and Sheffield Wednesday have paid the price for their actions but Villa and Derby have been taking the piss for years.

A few years back we were put under an immediate transfer embargo because we were just suspected of being in breach of FFP - as it turned out we were completely exonerated.

That's why we couldn't buy Zohore directly from Odense at the time because they wanted the cash. Tan had to get his Belgian club Kortrijk to buy him and loan him to us until we were cleared. Ways and means I suppose, but it was all within the rules of the game.

Looks like Villa and now Derby have wriggled out of it. Such a shame Villa didn't come down this year - then we'd see what balls the EFL would have had in taking them on.

Can’t have Wayne Rooney’s Derby County starting with a negative points tally. Ooh no.

Have to admit there is not a lot of logic in assigning a residual value at the end of a contract, when the player can leave for free. The only possibility is if they are absolutely sure he will sign an extension before the end so that they can sell him on. But at some point the value must be recouped or written off in one lump.
