London
We used to be imperious in London Derbies but have lost 2 in 2 now.

Although the proper (or what I call proper) London Derbies usually involve two of us, West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal, losing today really hurts most of the fans. I can deal with losing to Fulham, QPR, Palace, Charlton etc but the phone has been buzzing all day and I've heard from Gooners today that haven't contacted me in months.

Sadly, I fear a few spankings when we head to North London so here's hoping we can at least finish above Arsenal and Spurs as is becoming the norm. This season smacks of 08/09 already.

DL--Thanks for the reminder--but I'm still in mourning! I need time to get over this and start thinking about the future!

Last week I felt anger, but that was more directed at the officiated, this week I felt disappointment.

The worst thing about today was that I could see it coming. I said at half time Arsenal would win and I got texts from neutrals (if you can call a Spurs fan that) that I was an idiot.

You need proper friends, cavorting with Spuds is illegal isn't it?

I can't believe some of the stuff I've read and heard today. Two defeats and all of a sudden Chelsea are deteriorating. You lot really need to lighten up, you have so many knee-jerk reaction comments. You will most likely finish above us because we're destined to bottle it. It's in our nature. And your players are far superior to that of Liverpool, who flatter to deceive, and Spurs, who are good, but not as good as they seem to think. In pragmatical terms, I would say you will finish 3rd at worst. City and United look like the teams to beat and it will take something extremely special to stop either team with the runs they're on at the moment.

Just chill out a bit and stop exaggerating. It was one bad result. And even if we do beat you again, I highly, highly doubt it will be by the same number of goals, it will be much tighter in the next encounter.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I've actually felt sorry for Chelsea fans, wallowing in self-pity. The sad thing is I'm starting to think that you lot are believing what you're saying and that you're buying into what the media have been saying about you, denigrating you. It just makes you even more demoralised and discontent, so just stay away from any newspapers, ignore your mates or take it on the chin as a supporter would do and then just look forward to your next match. <ok>

The media love to bring Chelsea and Arsenal down.

We're not out but we're certainly down and we won't be a real force till next season <ok>

I'm not quite so sure. The thing is, Arsenal fans always complain saying ''we're rubbish, Wenger out, we suck'' and then when the media do it, we completely change our tune, so basically, we're condemning the media for stuff which we basically cry out for ourselves. I did used to believe that there was a media and FA agenda against certain clubs i.e. decisions certain teams get in their favour becoming a recurring theme, but now I just think it's down to general incompetence and pressure.

I don't think Chelsea will be able to win the Premier League or Champions League this year, as I think some of the teams in each competition are quite simply far too good for you, but I do think in the Carling Cup and FA Cup you could still end your season with a trophy. To be honest, there's also the January Transfer Window to strengthen. But even if you have a poor [by your standards] season, you still have got plenty of money to fork out on other top players to attract them to Chelsea, so this 'transition period' will be very brief.

<ok>

<laugh> at the quote in your sig btw <laugh>
