There we are then, another season of supporting the Bluebirds draws to an end. Well done to everyone for surviving the usual, emotional trials involved in being a Cardiff City fan. Blizzards permitting, we end our season at Pride Park. Will Derby's new owners change the name of the stadium or will it be bought by Wipsnade zoo? Perhaps Millwall would be interested in an extra home for their lions. Anyway, after a number of seasons of skating on thin ice, the snow queens finally fell through it. I expect there to be a full house and the Rams fans to be in carnival mood. With the shackles off, I expect Mr Rooney's men to attempt to go out in a blaze of glory. The question is, with all the rumours of Bluebirds non renewal of contracts and departures, whether we can be arsed to be party poopers. For me, it's to hell with the result and field a team of players likely to be with us next season. Have fun. Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Cheers Clingo and we’ll done for stepping into Masky’s and Sparky’s shoes with the match day thread. Personally I can’t wait for this season to be over and see who will be joining our new total football team for next season!! Just looked at the forecast and the match is on! I’m sure the Bluebird fans will be giving a good rendition of Cheerio, Cheerio, Cheerio.
The game was on the day before Snowgate. Keep an eye on the weather tomorrow morning. Those travelling (1,500 apparently ), take snowboots and skates just in case.
Dreary from City. The midfield today haven’t shown any positive intent at all, Colwill for King surely.
Good to finish with a win if only 3 shots and 1 on target to score. Bit like the Alamo meets Rorke's Drift meets Spartacus in the last few minutes but held out
Just went on t'internet to check that hugill was starting as I'd picked him in the prediction league. He was. Just earlier than I thought. Ah well. We won, he scored. A correct result (though not correct score) and scorer to end the predictions. Ill settle for that.
Quality goal - the only decent football in the whole game. Clean sheet a bit of a rare treat! ps Good riddance to Derby
