I don't see any of that in mito's posts. He hasn't said the doctor would be more successful at all, his point is dentists are failed doctors nothing to do with money.
yes... one for very average doctors who are not good enough to be proper surgeons etc thanks for backing me up remember its all relative as i said. they can be successful dentists but will always have to look at the guy in their class who is a brain surgeon and admit to themselves they just were not quite good enough. in many ways they are basically the evertons fans of this world
I have nephew who wanted to read medicine , he cannot get admission, instead he got admission to read pharmacy. After qualifying he was not satisfied, still wanted to be a doctor. He was given the opportunity, and had to go to the university for another three years. He is now a doctor.
Good for him. I know a couple of people from my son's class who did it that way for the same reason you say.
Also some people decide a little bit later in life they want to be a doctor and there is a route for mature students - there was one in my son's class - but I'm not sure what the upper age limit is.
I'd rather be a dentist working normal working hours than a surgeon who has to be up at stupid hours and cannot enjoy life out of work because of it.
Some people are so dedicated to what they want to be regardless of the unsocial hours. Let us bless and praise them.
My son always wanted to be a doctor. I think it really is a vocation. I praise and bless dentists too and also all the people doing the important jobs [some which we would consider menial] that none of us could or would want to do.
I always wanted to be a doctor as a kid, until my second year in university getting my bachelor's, l decided it would be boring. In hindsight it probably would have been much more interesting than what I do now and I could be making quarter to half a million a year instead of the relative pittance I make today. The foolishness of youth.
I've always felt that the timing of the choice that will decide your future, comes at the time of your life when you least care i.e. 16/17 years old.
