Maybe you have studied it, however your lack of understanding - which was my point - is quite apparent.
If you don't agree with the opinion of another individual it doesn't make their own personal view any less valid. That notion is just ignorant and shows your lack of imagination in any debate. I'm used to debating politics, , I've done it for years and I can assure you that my experience has served me well. Like a clever man once said "an ounce of experience is worth a thousand tons of theory".
You could do well with a wee smidgeon of reality . An ingredient that has been sadly lacking in any political post I've seen you make
I'm a big fan of Hayek, not as much Mises - but I like the Austrian School in general. I haven't read Human Action yet as it's a big bastard and Mises can be a bit dense. Anyway, you are selling yourself as a Libertarian here - how does your support of UKIP (and the privatisation of health) fit in with Hayekian theory, considering Hayek hated nationalism, advocated mandatory universal health care and unemployment insurance, wrote several essays on why he disliked Conservatism (even more so than Socialism), advocated the free movement of people across borders, advocated a marketplace of states where the individual had choice to move freely in "quasi-commercial corporations competing for citizens" - pretty much what the EU is offering us, and which pretty much fits the super-national 'Federal Union' state he actually advocated in the Road to Serfdom?
We are not debating personal opinion. The issue is fact based. Lets start off with the fact that the entire existance of private health services is entirely underwritten by the NHS and the service it provides if and when required. Therefore private services do not have to fully and realistically fund their own service as they can always turn to,. or refer to , The NHS.
My political views are inspired by the likes of Joh Locke , Adam Smith. I'm definitely going to stick on the side of the likes of those 2 as they are 2 of history's geniuses where as you're a guy off the Internet. I hope this puts things into perspective for you.
The free movement doesn't have to mean leave it up to the EU. I can guarantee you could have immigration without the European Union. I despise big government, especially that as big as the unelected European Union.
The EU has less civil servants than Birmingham City council http://www.cer.org.uk/insights/tilting-european-windmills
The U.K is one of the most bureaucratic and officious countries going. You only have to look at the H.S.E to see that.
I had to do one to walk about with a clipboard and a notepad on Monday. Plus a Toolbox Talk as well I can see why you'd be against the EU for a number of reasons but it now seems that a lot of anti-EU sentiment is nothing more than covert racism.
