But I don't have a mouth in my chest. ;)

I think Dempsey will be okay for us. I'll give the boy a chance. As you say he'll get in the box a lot, and he'll not shirk a shift. If he puts in the same effort he did at Fulham, he'll do well.<ok>

not really... poker's all about position and assessing the other guys intent. If i've a big blind in and 2.7 off suite then ok yea i should fold but what if everyone else foldeed round to the blinds? what if i'm last to act after the flop... maybe that 2.7 off suit is actually two live cards and even better a raise before the flop = stealing the blinds...

in any case... let rodgers make his own decisions is quite fair. if carroll is worth 20mil and rodgers doesn't want him... well thats that. its comolli and kenny that got the sack over it so rodgers in theory should be able to rack up the 20mil to spend as he see fit.

I still would like us to have some more options in CM.

IF, if , if Aqua stays that helps but what if he gets injured, Lucas struggles to regain form/injury again, then that leaves us with Spearing, hendo, and Shelvey again which is a lot to ask and we saw how that can struggle against the top sides.

Not sure who, but I hear Moussa Sissoko is not happy at Toulose and he is one that could give us some good steel through the middle.

True but from a gambling perspective it makes sense, when you're losing you don't double down, the same way when your shares take a plummet you always assess them at their current worth and earnings potential (not what you paid for them originally) and whether they're still worth holding on to. As with Carroll, what we paid is irrelevant now - The board need to decide what he is worth to us at the moment and what his value may be now and in the future if he gets better. Fact is Carroll is a 15-20£m and if we're offered that (for a player who will not be a regular starter for us) we should take it, regardless of what we paid originally or whether it would be an embarrassment.

bluff i agree, i have looked at our midfield and find it badly wanting in a 4-3-3. don't think adam is right and i think gerrard will want to be fat frank and not work the position. lucas would end up doing all the work.

sir red.. you're right most of the time when you've a bad hand you'll fold all i'm saying is you'll fold with all the info, who's in and whos not, who raised, am i sure my cards are bad?

susually the best person to steal the blinds is the dealer cos he's last to act, like newcastle are right now. they've wandered in having see basically seen us fold the hands round and they are looking at putting in a cheeky bid to get carroll on the cheap... like a half pot raise into the blinds.

brynner, i had a poker game going but with the recession guys don't play.. all because one rich C**T keeps buying back in all night until he wins and the rest let him. ruined the thing for us all.
