I really didn't expect the Swansea arse licking to start this soon, they have only played three games.

And why not? They've shown that losing their manager then a couple of key players, that a knee jerk reaction is not the answer. Just as they did when joing the premiership last year. That said, I'm inclined to agree with you Bandit if the debate is purely financial. Over the last two years they are actually showing a deficit in transfer fees:

    Spend - £9m last year + £16m this year = £25m
    Receipts - £0 last year + £23m (Allen and Sinclair) this year = £23m

Another slight myth is that Moyes has been running Everton on a shoe string. They have spent £22m in transfer fees over the last two years. However, the prudence at that club is at the same time they have brought in £39m in transfer sales. Their revenue intake is only a tad higher than Fulham's and their wage bill pretty much on a par with ours (which surprised me). If you want a model to follow, surely it's theirs.

Here's a long, interesting interview with Dempsey from Sport Illustrates top football writer:

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...lint-dempsey-tottenham-usa-jamaica/index.html

Among the highlights, the whole ordeal nearly left him in tears
He says he never refused to play and that thing were attributed to him that never never said
    Doesn't feel badly toward Liverpool
Isn't sure what role he'll play at Spurs.

Also, he scored in the first 30 seconds against Jamaica Friday night.

Wow, for someone who hasn't played a game in 3 months that's impressive (or very lucky). The rest ? Puff, wind and crocodile tears and I say that as someone who has tried to keep an open mind on the situation.

Dempsey isn't a Fulham player any more, so I care little about what he says to the press and how he plays in any game that doesn't affect FFC.

Thanks for posting DR. I'm a bit more willing to take what he says at face value. And even after the last few months, I still wish him well. Maybe not too well - some of the managers in my other Fantasy football league have got him. But that's all I've got against him!

No problem, Captain. He's not on my fantasy team, either.
