in fairness this is the best chance arsenal have had for the last 6 years. There not bottling it against small and physical sides this year.

Not with their defence the won't. Sort that out and I'd be concerned.

yeah but djorou and koncielny are getting better, and now sczensny is their new number one for what 3 or 4 clean sheets in a row is it.

Arsenal going forward are very good, only a fool would deny that. But viva is right to mention their defence. They are shaky at the back especially at CB and they have needed for about 4 years to invest in a top keeper but Wenger has failed to do so. If I recall rightly they have lost 5 games so far in the league and probably will lose 1 or 2 more. This is enough to cause them to fail.

Our defence has conceded 1 more goal than United in the league and Djourou/Koscielny have only conceded 4 goals in their 11 starts together which is better than I can say about Rio/Vidic, Terry/Ivanovic, etc

Quote the stats if you want but this Arsenal defence is not strong. The Utd defence is little better at times but then again Utd all season have not been at their best. Just goes to show you how bad the rest of the league is.

Eboue your defence is a joke, throw stats around all you like but in the big games ur defenders can't cope and especially against physical sides. It will be tight but you will drop more points random ones as well. All it takes to crush arsenal is one bad defeat because you have not got any winners in your side with know how.

I will quote the stats because they are what matter. Djourou/Kossy - 11 games started, 4 goals conceded. Rio/Vidic - 15 games started, 10 goals conceded. 4 consecutive clean sheets in the league, 3 goals conceded in our last 8 games in all competitions (2 of which shouldn't have stood). You can bang on about our dodgy your defence all you want, but if we continue posting stats like that and we are still dodgy in your eyes i'll love it

STATS DONT ALWAYS MATTER E.G YOU COULD SCORE MORE GOALS THAN US AND CONCEDE LESS THAN US BUT WE COULD STILL WIN THE LEAGUE. You are too reductionist in your approach and you don't take other things into account. E.G Arshavin has good stats but his performance level during 90mins has been poor and has cost you points due to his laziness and is a liability in big games. What matters is the league table and the points on the board. Other factors don't mean anything. In my opinion the league which is what matters will be decided by a point or 2 either way between our 2 teams and that is still a long way to go.

So you don't think the goals conceded column indicates how strong a team is defensively? <laugh>
