Quote from Sky Sports:

"Ba sees little problem with working as hard as possible and fulfilling fans' expectations.

"When I lose I hang my head. I want to go back home because we didn't give fans what they expected," Ba commented.

"There are a lot of players who not give a damn. Even if I would not do it for the club, I do it for me. I cannot not care!

"What the fans are asking for? Giving your very best. That's the thing the easiest to do. Run, rush, tackle, fight... I can't see anything difficult in that.""

We have ourselves such a great player, let's hope he continues to play!

(BTW, where is everyone? What's the new destination?)

We need to get Ba on a new contract. Give him whatever the hell he wants because he's worth keeping, and you simply will not, EVER get a 20+ goals a season striker without dishing out the cash.

Every time I hear Demba Ba or see something he has written/said, I am so pleased. He comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke, and someone who seems to think like us fans, work hard and do a job.

This.

I dont think he will, especially with Cisse here now... but there is always that little bit of fear inside me that i will wake up one day this summer to a transfer story all over the news. Carrollophobia i think its called.

While I wouldn't want to see Ba go, I don't have the same fear about players going now that we have Carr etc. on board, we seem to have likely replacements in mind way before anyone goes.

AS far as Demba is concerned he might just be the best signing we have ever made since Shearer. And I fully believe he is going to stay with us.

He has a chance to write his name in our history and I would love to be talking about him in the same veign as Shearer, Sir Les etc.

The fact that hes a top bloke just adds to the fact that the club are signing the right players. I trust the club now. I even trust Cashley.

How times have changed.
