That's surely what you want? Are you saying you'd prefer Torres to score rather than Sturridge?

Still baffled by the amount of stick Sturridge gets, it's boarding on lunacy now.

 

Sturridge last season - 13 goals from 122 shots + 5 assists, Torres last season - 11 goals from 105 shots + 12 assists, Drogba last season 13 goals from 100 shots + 4 assists. Torres has 3 from 9 shots this season, Sturridge 0 from 2

 

Obviously i want Sturridge to score, just stating some facts Drogs

 

Right so round about the same amount of goals to shots. Now how many more games did Torres (£50m) play than Sturridge (free)? Not to mention, Torres scored 6 league goals. Nowhere near good enough.

 

I know mate, but Sturridge being selfish isn't the end of the world. We should be trying him out up top and see what happens rather than all waiting for Torres to score! I've seen fans stick up for Torres missing that sitter against United then abuse Sturridge for keeping hold of the ball for too long, doesn't make sense to me.

 

Exactly bit weird that our strikers Drogs and Torres had more mins yet had less shots than our winger. Even more mad that Bale had more shots than all 3 of them by some distance ( 168 ). And yeh i want Sturridge up top, he has impressed me a lot this season and looks like he has learned his lesson from last season which is good. I'm still in favour of going 4-4-2 for some games this season

 

I do love seeing Torres score though because he deserves it, although he did annoy me with his reaction to being subbed Saturday. I know he was probably angry at himself more than anything but he needs to chill out and realise we're on his side and as long as he carries on giving 100% and trying his hardest he'll have our support, thats all we ask for. Not to mention he has started the season off very good and already has 2 goals in 4 in the league.
Needs to just relax and let the goals come to him
