Didnt Danny D sign a 5 year contract 12 months ago? It does mean that we should get a decent fee for him though.

 

Sometimes about just that. Look at Arsenal with Sanchez and Ozil letting their contracts run down and if potential suitors are willing to sign them on a pre-contract for the summer they’ll walk for free. If Gray carries on as per last week we’d get a right load

 

The wages have probably been raised to have parity with the other first teamers, more than likely was on the "prospect" wage before.

 

So basically you can command a better transfer fee when you sell him. Good move tbf. He might go for 20mil now instead of 5-10 mil.

Get used to seeing him for both us and England ... arguably the most exciting emerging English talent ... can see us selling him to one of the big boys in a few years time ... for a disgustingly immoral amount of wonga ...

 

Looking to be an ever more astute move by the club now. Puel is using him more than Shaky or Ranieri and we are seeing the benefit. There is no doubt our front four are now a huge threat in all games.

 

We need to keep that front 4 together. Pity January is coming!

 

starting to look very good! Also, and I think this is better than you realise, but being able to bring on Okasaki at 70 minutes rather than replace him is a real asset

 

Where will Silva fit in? It will be hard for him to shift any of the midfield at the moment. Only an injury to someone might give him a chance. There could be more frustration for the lad.

 

That’s life though isn’t it. Currently, he’ll have to be patient and replace king on the bench but he’ll get a chance and it’s up to him to take it.

Problem for him is that, as it didn’t go through, we’ve had to change our style of play to have 2 holding midfielders to allow the top 4 to push on

 

He'd have no problem playing one of the holding roles ... better technically than both Wilf and Iborra at this point in their respective careers ...
