If you haven't read this morning, Delaney got fined and docked points for speeding. He's claiming Roy Keane was an unreasonable boss and he was scared of getting fined two weeks' wages for being late to training.

**** off Damien. Try getting a proper job, where you have to be in at 9am and work for a pittance. Where your working day doesn't end at 10:30am, where you have to put up with 'unreasonable' people eight hours a day five days a week.

Leave your house on time, rather than thinking 'oh I'll leave late and speed. My boss is so unreasonable expecting me to be at work on time'. **** me - imagine if everyone went round speeding because they were worried about getting told off for being late! Think how many more kids would be getting knocked down by cars!

You are part of the worst team in Ipswich Town's history. You don't deserve the ridiculous salary you're on. If you were going to be getting in at 6am to slave all day in a factory I could understand why you might not give a **** about getting to work on time. If you can't be arsed to get up on time to get to training then **** off.
 
Over reaction?

Ok i'll admit i havnt read the story. But we don't know why he was running late and maybe the unreasonability was being fined for being a couple of minutes late or for a first time offence for which it has to be said two week wages is a harsh fine.

And please dont encourage yet another senior player out of our squad...
 
If there was one player I would like to see "encouraged out" it would be Donkey Delany!

I'm sorry - don't try to get off the punishment by blaming your boss for it.
 
Two weeks' wages? That'd be about nine months of mine, then.

On that sort of money I would have thought 'ah, sod it.'

Actually, if I was on that sort of money I'd turn up on time and bloody well earn it, possibly even on match days :-D
 
I'm sure we've all been late for work and maybe, not me!, but maybe just drifted over the speed limit slightly. But don't you just hold your hand up and say it's a fair cop?. It's pathetic to use Roy Keane as an excuse! Grow some Delaney, take the punishment and don't blame someone else.
Talking of pathetic. England. How, after the exhibition of football last weekend, am i supposed to be excited by this?
