It's been kind of a Jekyll and Hyde year in the transfer window. The inability/unwillingness to address clear issues is only matched by the nose for a good buy. No new striker worried me less at the time than not picking up Moutinhou. Losing Modric and VDV certainly hurt, but I'm not sure Levy could have done anything about that. On the other hand Jan has been beyond brilliant, Dembele has been the key to our fortunes, Gylfi seems to be becoming very valuable, and Holtby looks like a great pick up.
Dare we dream we can get a deal for both him and Damnyou to fall through after midnight on deadline day? Nothing says transfer window to me more than another frantic round of ultimately failed negotiations to get Damnyou (with the possible exceptions of 'Arry, a Range Rover and a racing form).
