Defoe relies a lot on pace. He does have a very good shot on him, but is only 5' 7". He usually averages 1-in-2, but this year was 1-in-3. At 28, and getting close to 29, he'll start losing his pace within a year or so.

id happily have him even if hes 29 aslong as he score enough goals 2 win us trophys 4 me hes a proven goalscorer and experienced at prem level
 
I'd take Defoe for around £5m. He is a natural goalscorer. I don't think his time at Spurs has been brilliant, but that's because Harry has treated him like ****, despite buying him twice <doh>

Give the lad a chance to shine I say - we need someone who's sole intent is to simply get on the end of the ball and stick it in the net. He's also got a decent long range shot on him (we should give that a go sometime too :) )

If it doesn't work out, ship him off to someone like Wigan or Wolves. <ok>
