Its old news but it seems that Defoe was making noises and I have since been told that the source of all the speculation was direct from his agent and teh story was that Defoe was on his way to us on loan until the end of the season ... Things changed and the current message is I love Spurs again ... looks to me like its was a Defoe publicity exercise which has kept him in the spotlight which at the end of the day is exactly what its all about esp fro a player who is isn't playing and not making any headlines at all and needs to get to the Euros ... Defoe is overlooked for a reason Spurs have a better forward at the moment hence the spotlight exercise. TBH he couldn't really lose ... he/his agent goes on record as saying he is off to QPR on loan the player denies it which sends out a message to the world and he gets the old game after that. Its all bullshit and we all eat it
