And the difference then between him and Haidara is??? Also, you are still forgetting that Jonas did all his work! Haidara has no-one and an even ****tier defence alongside him!

I happen to like Haideria but I do think you are exaggerating Jonas contribution to Enrique's development.

As much as I like the former, I can't see him progressing of the level Enrique was. Thanks to Dummett, he will be number 2 for a while. Now, I don't rate Dummett at all but sadly this what will happen for the concievable future.

Haidara is a step up easily on Dummett! I personally don't think I am exaggerating Jonas and his covering Enrique's ass almost on a game by game basis (though I do accept that Colo also did his share of covering).

It's the Gurkha knife and is shaped to draw as much blood from the cut as possible.
The Gurkhas are the hardest bastards in the forces bar none.

Well apart from Smug who ran the SAS for years.

No I agree I prefer Haidara to Dummett. I don't rate the latter at all. I personally feel that challenge from that Wigan **** two years definetly effected his progress, rather more mentally than physically.

Luckily McClaren has had a bit time to see the virtues of some of the squad now.
Hopefully he'll soon reinstate our best LB, Fergie, to his rightful place, above Dummy and Haidara.
Come on Steve, you know it makes sense...<ok>

I would rather have Haidara at left back than Dummett. I prefer Dummett at centre back. I think DPP has a good point - you underestimate the way a defensive left midfielder can make a left fullback look good. And Haidara has had Sammy in front of him for a lot of the season.
My current worst player would actually be Gouffran - not because he is the least skillful but his inability to put a proper shift in and the number of times he wimps out of tackles.

Jose Enrique was always able to control a football. He looked classy in possession from day 1 and his passing was always tidy. Positional wise he became imense but he did struggle a lot to begin with. He was also struggled with the pace.

Haidara is almost as poor at passing as Mbiwa was. At least once every game without fail, the ball goes straight under his foot and out of play. His defending and positional sense is poor, I can forgive that a little because its not an easy job with Colo and Willo. I think we get plenty of support in defence when we play Abeid and Colback but its a moot point given how little they have been trusted. The problem for me is, Haidara has the ball skills of a league 1 player.

When people say they like him, but can't stand the likes of Willo, Dummett etc because they are cloggers, it just makes me laugh. At least Dummett can control a football. You can get away with a lot of things and learn a lot things but the basics have to be there.

Good cover can help defensively, it won't help your passing or ball control.
