What a week to make noises about a Norwich player cheating? How many hands did DJ use to score on Saturday? and don't even try to tell me it was not intentional
Good point ITFC. Football fans are often blinkered and hypocritical. Lets take Norwich fans as an example. Colchester were labelled as bitter by Norwich fans for bemoaning the way Lambert left for Norwich yet now Lambert has done the same to Norwich he's a traitor with no loyalty or respect and should've rejected a much bigger club to stay at Norwich.
Who said that. We are moaning because he left under his terms but wants compenating for it. Good luck to him football wise. He did a brilliant job for us and will always be remembered strictly for that. If he goes down the road of wanting to alienate himself from the club just to make money then thats a different matter. Yes, all in all, our last manager was a success. Yours?
I love how we've got a roaming hoarde of scousers checking out every board just in case someone says something bad about the sainted "Suarez" Him and Liverpool deserve eachother.
Also strange how comments by a handful of individuals become representative of a much larger group huh?
Thai, I'm not sure there's anything hypocritical about it. I don't hear any Town fans blaming anyone outside of the club for our lowly position. Supers you're a bit touchy this morning?
2007 - Banned by Ajax for fighting with a team mate at half-time 2010 - Was 'proud' to handle a ball off the line for Uruguay in the WC 2010 - Banned for 7 weeks for biting PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bakkal 2011 - Banned for 9 matches for making a racist comment, 10 times. Nice chap isn't he?
Luke I gotta agree... and cheating Ghana like that was the single most heart wrenching moment I have ever, ever witnessed in football.
not touchy at all. just couldn't believe the nonsense you were typing! agree about ghana though. good post luke - totally sums up why he is so despised. i do not believe he is world class but he is certainly an extremely talented footballer. it just really grates that he behaves likes that because he is clearly a magician with the ball. its obviously his personality unfortunately.
I think want Hampy is trying to say is that its very hard for any club to take the moral high ground in regards to gaining dodgy decisions against the opponents delibrately. Take Barnetts actions after he clambered all over suarez in your game, he knew he had committed a foul yet he got straight up and ran over to the ref claiming he had dived knowing full well that he hadn't. that is an act of cheating surely!
i suppose its a bit rich when you have an ipswich player punch the ball in the net and celebrate his goal were you clamouring for him to 'own up'? agree barnett shouldn't have done that, and neither should ANY player, of which there have been many recently, who foul suarez and then claim he dived when he didn't. barnett in my opinion should have been given a ban for that. fact is, there is so much cheating in the premier league that it ends up blurring into one big mess. honestly, its awful. i don't think anyone is trying to claim the moral high ground here - suarez is a cheat, big time. it is unquestionable. i feel that its fine to bring it up when it is as bad as that one this weekend, likewise bale who seems to get off all his misdemeanours for some reason.
But i'm not defending him, yet i'm not jumping on the bandwagon to criticise DJ! you guys are acting whiter than whiter yet your player quite clearly cheated by running straight over to the ref claiming he dived and trying to get him booked in a deliberate act. surely you can see the double standards. also supers you could tell our fans were hardly hiding the fact in the second half!
No it isn't drivel supers, its just drivel to you because its right. Thai has started a thread about a player cheating, yet it has been pointed out that every club and its players will do something that could be classed as cheating (i.e. the barnett incident) so i would say that it is wrong for somebody to take moral high ground when its happens right before your eyes by your own team! Most if not all ITFC fans were quite happy to say that yes we got the favour of a decision with DJ's goal on saturday, hence the singing in the second half.
Guru - when you first brought up the Barnett incident, Supers not only agreed with you, he went even further stating that Barnett should have received a ban! Yet back you come again with your "But surely you must see" comments! You do this every time you find a perceived "crime" by a Norwich player, or board, or management member! Isn't that EXACTLY like running to the ref asking him to take some kind of action! Each time you make a good point, you spoil it by going over it time and time again!
Dave the point i'm trying to make, is that some Norwich fans likes to act the victim, or that their team is whiter than whiter and can take the moral high ground on every issue, all i'm saying is that every club and player are the same, if the advantage is there they will take it.
Well parts of your response were drivel, as I said you say the same things over and over so that, what was a good point the first time, ends up being repetitive drivel!
