Am I alone in worrying that whilst it appears that CH has purchased two decent additions to the defence we could line up on Saturday with a back four of whom two have never played with each other or the team and if Bennett is dropped rather than Turner possibly three who have next to no experience playing together. If this is the case I reckon we'll need to score a few to get any sort of result as one of the key things about defence is organisation and knowing how to play as a unit.
Balanced against which whatever happens it is unlikely to be as bad as last week and frankly the incumbents could do with a kick up the backside after their lacklustre display.
I know that Lambert was unusual in getting his targets in nice and early but surely it makes more sense to get your personnel in place for pre-season otherwise what is the point of the warm-up games?
I would love us to grind out a 1-0 win just to give the defence a bit of a boost although obviously levelling out our current goal difference deficit would be much more fun.
