Gyan told Bruce Quinn and Short he was staying which is why they did not buy a replacement when the window was open. We are where we are, which thanks to Steve Bruce is in the EPL with some decent players. It's not going well and most of the reasons for that are not Bruces fault, he is dammed if he does and dammed if he does not. I am starting to think he should go because he will never be accepted here and he is an easy scapegoat.
Gyan forced Short, Quinn and Bruce to accept the conditions of the loan deal? The only reason Gyan left was because SAFC accepted the loan deal... Like I said earlier... There are deeper reasons for Gyans poor form and I have explained my viewpoint on that issue. I could agree if it were not for the other players who have 'jumped ship' too, like Bent who was forced to leave aswell. Bent was sick to death of Bruce just like Gyan, Mensah, Muntari, Zenden, Malbranque (who even went to print to state this fact)... Perhaps its time we started to blame Sunderland City Council, the Sunderland Echo or the geography once again. Ya gotta have a laugh like
So you would have forced Gyan to stay, paid his wages even though he had no desire to be here? Zenden - wanted guaranteed playing time. We cant (shouldnt) guarantee playing time to any player >they all need to fight for a place Steed - Even if we had wanted to keep him, and did so, he retired anyhow, at least we got money for him before he retired Bent - $$$ Gyan - $$$ Muntari - didnt add anything to the squad mensah - would only have kept him if willing to sign a pay as you play contract > no chance of him doing that Criticise Bruce for his tactics and team choice by all means, but dont go making facts up to suit your opinion of him.
Surely Muntari was poor because he was played out of position for a solid four months. We should have known - Milan dropped him because he was rubbish in CM and yet Bruce goes and plays him there again! The lad opened a few eyes when Ghana played him in his correct position though. Why didn't we learn from that? I think Muntari had a bloody raw deal here frankly.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions - right or wrong -bu the fact remains we are the wrong end of the table and need to get moving upwards sharpish. Pleased we will have Bentner back next week. I think we need to get back to playing 4-4-2 and start giving teams a decent game. There were encouraging signs at Arsenal but we need much more. The Bolton game is massive. Haway the Lads!
Whether Bruce isresponsible for the occurences under his watch isn't important. Bruce should be held accountable for allowing the current situation. In other words, he may have been dealt a crap hand, but he isn't making the most of it, helping himself etc.
You see this is the problem with this site, people say things like the above with no proof or knowledge of the situation and make it out to be fact. Show us proof that the above is fact and he did not just leave for the money? Non of us will ever know the real truth.

I did not say it was a fact, I said non of us will know the truth, it was an asumption, if someone wants to prove me wrong by posting the truth with a proof go ahead. You will find I do speculate quite a lot of this site, I usually say I could be wrong but...... and it is normally backed up by research.
