15 grand? A drop in the fecking ocean.

Agree in the scheme of things £15k isn't a lot but multiply that by the thousands of people abusing the system and it soon adds up to £millions.

The girl I knew only earned minimum wage so £15k was about 12-15 months wages. If you borrowed your annual salary with no intention of ever paying it back it is theft, pure and simple.

Pales into almost insignificance compared to how much the banks lost though. Don't forget the ocean is only there because of the amount of drops in it. <philosophicalchinscratchsmiley>

I hope that is not true because it would just encourage irresponsible spending and borrowing to match and let's not forget that's what cause this sorry mess we call an economy.
Sam - it's true ! ...... and so is your conclusion.

Will that spending help the economy by selling good in the stores?
Always look on the bright side !

As I understand it, it not only debts up to £15k, you must not have any assets over £300.

If you own a home, then you cannot take this option, or even a car with a value over £300 makes you ineligble.
Don't worry there'll be plenty of people who will ' qualify .'

EASY - if you have a car worth over 300, then just put it into someone elses name and 'claim' you used whatever funds you sold it for for your lifestyle and/ or debts.

THE SYSTEM IS A BITCH, SHE HAS BEEN GETTING ****ED AND RIGHT NOW SHE HAS THE CLAP, GONORREA( SPELLING? ), AIDS, HERPES...

we are and will be paying for the last 10 years of the system allowing debt to spiral out of control. It, until 2 years ago, was unbelievably easy to get credit cards, loans, short term loans now, overdrafts, cheques for cash advances.
This, alongside the MP's with their hands in the coffers will set us back decades.

the banks already forecast the losses and build that into there fee structures.

i agree its been far too easy for every daft **** to get too much credit. we now have a system where the banks do not want you to pay the debt back, the simply want you to service the debt. much more money this way.

previously i would have thought it was an outrage that people could do this, however, after the way the ****ing banks had to be bailed out so they could continue to give out the big bonuses they can **** right off and I hope many many more people use DRO's
