Debate: Can Joe Allen be an attacking midfielder?

    His 'fights for the ball' result in at least 3 dangerous free kicks to the opposition each game.

    Xavi used to spray the ball around, always playing it forward. Allen never plays pin point diagonal passes to the wing, or a good through ball for Suarez.

    Lucas used to give away silly free kicks in his earlier days. It's something that I'm sure Allen is working on. But I do notice that he will try and win the ball. He's not a lazy player in terms of his effort.

    As a disclaimer, I did say Xavi is a better player <laugh>. But remember, Xavi didn't really hit new heights until about 5 years ago when he was 28. It's a position which really suits the older and more experienced players as they rely more on speed of thought rather than speed of their legs.

    No doubt he will be a good player, just doesn't warrant a starting berth at the moment.

    lol he was **** yesterday, BR brought on henderson instead of shelvey, starting to get on my nerves, some of his decisions are also ****e.
