Regardless of intelligence and awareness of here/hear, people speed-typing can result in homophone confusal. My point in picking it up is to question your spelling pedantry which I attempted to show the futility of with some pedantry of my own. It really doesn't matter how people spell words as long as the meaning is intact (which you have shown it was) and there is no right or wrong way to spell, just standard and non-standard. Not throwing remarks at people, just questioning a linguistic trend. If that makes me a rude **** (it doesn't) then so be it. All I expect is that people don't go all keyboard warrior on newbies and simply let them know that in the future, they should use the search function because of the high volume of similar content in GC. Not hard at all and doesn't require any 'ASL' brown-nosing. Did I say that you were looking for 'fwends'? I didn't. I just said that the 'look what a rude nobhead I can be' trend is done by people looking for a bit of e-love.
Had some real knuckle dragger comments but not surprised being an open to all forum. I'd reckon if pushed the majority of people would want the death penalty back but it doesn't make it right. All that eye for an eye stuff is a convenient excuse for people who have no imagination and an over-important self regard. So what if you think murderers and child molesters should be hanged? Fancy being falsely accused yourself with the pro-death penalty mob screaming outside the court for you to be strung up on the nearest lamp post? Prison should be a punishment and if you have taken a life you should expect to get life, not let out after 10 years if you've been a good boy while inside. Sadly I think the usual argument of miscarriages of justice and mistaken executions don't appear to make any difference in the pro-death camp. If a few people are hanged by mistake do they really care? Would my opinion change if it was one of my family murdered? Probably, but how many people in the pro-death camp have been affected personally? More likely they have read the front page of the Sun, or got there mate to read it to them, and are happy to join in with the "yeah, hang the effing lot of them" brigade. I'm sure if it came back someone would sue the Government for breaching their human rights, get off on a technicality and get £1mil compensation!
