    ER was last seen crying into his pot noodle over his kitchen sink. We assume he is still there but perhaps in skeletal form. His neighbours will smell rotten pot noodle soon.

    I met a traveller from an antique land,
    Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
    Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
    Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
    And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
    Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

    We actually dissected this poem in class and my english teacher at the time said that was the first time he understood this poem,him in uni et al beautiful moment and remember it to this day.

    Percy Shelley, most underrated of the English romantic poets, but better than all of them imo. Check out "The Cloud" for spiritual poetry about nature that makes Wordsworth sound like he was writing birthday card messages.

    He bombarded her with poetry during their courtship. Which you'd expect from a Romantic poet with an idealised view of love and passion.


    Once they were married he probably beat her on the bottom with the Woman's Weekly, while she composed shopping lists.
