probably missing something obvious here, but is that a deliberate mistake in article heading, or a poor attempt at a pun?
The away end was shocking yesterday. There was a section in the corner singing and the other 75% just sat in silence.
I think you're the one that's missing the point, people are not complaining that its ruining the atmosphere they are complaining that been seated in a singing area ruins their personal match day experience. The two are completely different. I'm sure most of these people appreciate the singers and the atmosphere they create but that doesn't mean they particularly want to sit amongst them, especially if their view is getting blocked, they are elderly and can't stand or they have young kids and don't want them exposed to bad language or aggressive behaviour. There's plenty of room to accommodate everyone, this used to sort itself out naturally with unreserved seating and terracing, in the modern day its a little more regimented but there's still scope for all types of fans to exist and enjoy the game together.
Are supporters complaining at Brighton, or is the club trying to increase its singing section and is trying to keep everyone happy?
There was no reason for anyone to get in someone's way yesterday. There were 7 or 8 seats for every fan there. A lot of ours were sat down lounging in their seats as if sunbathing rather than supporting a team. So, everyone stood up getting behind the team is a yob? Some clubs have thousands of yobs then. Good job you don't support them.
Which is why Brighton are giving people who feel their enjoyment of the match day experience is spoilt by people singing the chance to move. Did you read the article? No one is expecting them to be in this area if they don't like it. A shame City couldn't have done something similar ages ago instead of upsetting a lot of people.
Spot on PLT i stood up and the juniors did and got loads of moaning twats complain Before the game started ! So we ****ed off to the corner and had a great time in singing section Credit to stewards not one steward told ANYONE to sit down. I wouldnt bother going if i had to sit down and though its personal choice i think those sat quiet are from a different planet to me...
Depressingly few were wanting to sing and get behind the team. Especially depressing as those who took the effort to travel to a lunch time televised match will be our more dedicated fans. I sometimes think the fans don't deserve a top team and it would be better for a club with lively, enthusiastic fans to go up. Glad to see you and the kids were able to get there, BTW.
We were in the north stand last year but have changed for this one. There was one really annoying guy who just shouted abuse at most thing non stop. He was right behind two women & just used abusive language for the sake of it. I love all the guys singing & throwing in a few choice words is always funny but he was out of order. The match day experience as it is called ,will be vastly improved without this total **** (irony recognised) screaming in my ear all game.
Thanks Castro...City getting to the cup sf sure made a huge difference to me...Amazing really . Nearly killed me the bloody walk from coaches to stadium yesterday so hope every where else coach drops off outside ground Neices have become HULL CITY crazy ...4 seasons now....second season going to away games Im fine castro and hope you and everyone else is fine.
Very close to hitting the nail on the head there, apart from the fact that some of those who want to sit down won't swop seats with those who want to stand. They seem to think it's a criminal offence not to sit in the seat you have being allocated.
