Some managers players and coaches just seem to work at certain clubs. SM was great when he was here last time. Stupidly and I have read this elsewere this was the reason Le Tissier never left Southampton, he could have walked into most teams in the world but chose to stay where he felt good.
Onwards and upwards.

Well Steve, 15 league games and 3 cup games. We are higher then I anticipated and I am disappointed that we lost away at Blackpool in a cup game I thought we could have won. We have had our butts kicked 7 1 by West Brom but have now had 3 wins and clean sheets in a row - something we have not had for years plus a win on a Friday night. You always wanted to be judged after 10 games.

You would not have been my first choice of manager however you have done ok so far. I will reserve judgement till end of season. You took over my club which was in a difficult position, not only in FFP but transfer embargos, and no money to spend. You did well though wit the 4 loan players coming in. I know that with December and Jan coming up, we normally don't do too well plus our usual expected exit at the third round of the FA Cup.

All I will say in keep the faith with the players. Their confidence must be on a high so keep them grounded and not let them get too big headed.
I will reserve judgement till end of season, however continue to work your magic as it appears that the players are buying into your coaching methods
