Saturday
Come what may
A win, draw or defeat,
Rest assured, we´ll have a say
When our two fine clubs meet,
Though we know
There´s far to go
Yet, early signs would seem,
To suggest that our lads on show
Still believe in their dream,
Which this year
Is very clear
To hang on to our place,
And although there´s much to fear
We´ve not yet been disgraced,
But what of you
There were a few
Moans and groans, I recall,
When Brum´s McLeish became your new
Leader, before you all,
It seems to me
That gradually
He´s winning your respect,
Although those outside only see
His overall effect,
So, again
This away game
We know won´t be a cruise,
And though football´s always our aim
We´ll take a bump or bruise,
Peter Grant
´Agony Aunt´
And your new number two,
We know of old, and so he can´t
Surprise us with much new,
And I saw
That, as a draw
Is how six of your games,
Have ended, so is one in store
If we can douse your flames,
For I´d say
A point away
And a goal, which if we seized,
Should sparkle too, on Guy Fawkes day
Would send us home well pleased.

Yours hopefully,

Make that three Grants then --
You must log in or register to see images
-- but I dare say only one, Holty, is to canary-dave's taste

Heskey left a canny few of those via his elbow at Sunderland last week. Our keeper has a fractured nose and a fractured eye socket. Yours might need a safety helmet.
