the sun are scum and that isn't an opinion based purely on THAT headline. it was critical for everyone who watches and loves football, especially those of us who were involved in watching games during that era (i was actually at the other semi final at villa park that day), that EVERYTHING which happened on that fateful day was made available for public consumption. it won't bring back the dead but it'll sure put a large number of wrongs right at long last and most likely make a number of people accountable for their actions - or lack of them i suspect <ok>

Now I know that east Anglia is slowly falling into the sea but I didn't think it had washed away and ended up in France - or is it Belgium? <laugh>

But you do have the thanks of all of us.

Is this purely an online petition or is it possible to sign in person? If you can, I would put somebody outside the away end on Saturday. I doubt there are many Norwich fans who will not sign this.

15th April 1989 is a date also etched into the history of our own club as we were playing Everton in the other semi that day at Villa Park. A large proportion of us Norwich fans heard the news while standing on a football terrace and realising that with a different semi final draw we could have easily been involved. I remember thanking god that we were not.

The story published by The Sun was the ultimate in disrespectful, Tactless and just plain wicked crap. The hurt that caused anybody who was there must have been indescribable.

Any true fan of any club would be supportive of such a petition.

Nuff said.

On a lighter note, how do you plan to cope with the prowess of the famous and mighty Norwich City on Saturday? :)

I think every team has an aurora of confidence against a newly promoted side but I have a feeling you guys are the most dangerous of the new teams, we have a bad track record against PL new boys. Was really impressed with you at OT so I am being reserved for this game, I'm a big fan of Lambert.

I hear we plan to unleash Mr Jerry Goss - he who scored the last ever goal in front of the standing Kop in 1994, for this one. A cracking goal it was, too, half volley from the corner of the penalty area <ok>

Differing views, for me as a City fan, of my trips to Liverpool. A famous 1-0 to Norwich, as mentioned above, at Anfield but a 0-5 pasting at the hands of your toffee-eating neighbours on my one and only trip to Goodison <doh>

Thing is don't away fans usually get held back for 15 minutes? Basically you won't make it back in time if you watch all the game.

How dare you? Who do you think you are? Coming on here and blapheming!

We don't recognise that rubbish tip on the other side of Stanley Park <laugh>

In the same vein. I heared a whisper that Kenny was planning to send the team out with little bags of Cannary feed so as to distract you.

Don´t tell me he´s worried already <yikes>
It´s us who should be feeling heady,
At such a prospect
But then the effect
Could make anyone feel unsteady. :)

Sorry mate didn't mean to ignore you. <ok>

It's an online petition. But I feel sure that somebody will be at the Anny Road end giving out details on Saturday

I've been trying to pen a rhyme along the lines of "When the Liver Bird meets the Cannary" but my poetic muse has deserted me - so I've given up!

Foredeckdave, how´s this,

When the Liver bird meets the canary
Whose feathers will be first to fly,
A contest, extraordinary
But very pleasing to the eye,
Will it be the one with the wingspan
Who is triumphant on the day,
Or he with the pretty song, who can
Win it, in his own special way.

:)
