this is what i think that rafa has been told that torres is the number one. what ever the reasons for him being picked in front of ba it is and will continue to cost us dearly

I'm not sure it's the case of playing Torres because he has to but I think that Benitez was trying to help with Torres' confidence. Basically saying, yeah Ba scored twice on his debut but you're still my main man.

Torres is a confidence player and I can see the reasoning. In the cold light of day and given Ba's 10 minute cameo last night, the decision was probably wrong but then hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Personally Ba deserves a run of games now because he immediately seems to give us that outlet up front and a bit more options but I suspect he'll rotate the 2 regularly.

All those people saying Drogba our and torres was the future.. I would like to batter them right now. Seriously Where woul d we be now with drogba in the team, feeding off oscar, hazard and matta!!!

At 2 cups a day 5 days a week = £17500/ cup. But don't expect it to be on time or in the right place or delivered with a smile.

You did the calculation!

You must be mad...

Oh, wait! You are!
<laugh>

We had the same problem against Swansea and QPR as Barca had against us (not comparing our quality to Barca). Last night we passed the ball about infront of 10 Swansea players but couldn't find any penetration. We needed a plan B (Demba Ba). Although this was realised, eventually, by Rafa, it was far too late for him to change the game (although he nearly did!).

When a game is open Torres can be effective, but games at the Bridge rarely are these days. Rafa should have realised the way in which the game was going at half time and made the change.

On another point.....

What is wrong with 4-4-2?? As much as I hate them and I appreciate that they get the rub of the green more often than not but Man U play 4-4-2 and have always been there or there abouts in the Premier League! 2 wingers, 2 midfielders and 2 up top.

Just a thought!

Wumming? Not at all, Ozzie. I've not been on this board for several days, as there hasn't been much of interest for me - the Saints v Chelsea match, aside.

But (a) the possibility of Lampard leave CFC (whether or not he goes to United) and (b) your loss to Swansea in the Cup, tonight, both are big discussion topics, that anyone interest in football, especially a fan of a rival club, is going to be interested in.

I don't think anyone could possibly accuse me of wumming. Sure, I might not say things that you like (the truth does sometimes hurt, Ozzie), but that doesn't automatically make me a wum.

Yeah it does, you have previous and got banned for it too! You are the biggest troll on this board Herbert fact!

The most depressing thing about this is Branna's contribution! The boy has CHELSEA through him like a stick of rock, but he goofed big time last night! He'd die on he hill for us , but I guess today he's been feeling suicidal!

What the **** has it to do with the Pikey's??

Strewth <doh>

Well that doesn't make sense.

Anyway, I wasn't aware that I was restricted to QPR-related thread. My point was that HIAG isn't a wum, at least not on this thread, and you're too much of a child to see beyond the fact he supports another team. If he called himself 'Speedie is a God' then you'd probably agree with the very reasonable points he is making, which is a bit pathetic. I await your inevitable playground comeback.

I refer to the answer given directly above Pikey. <ok>

A brilliant retort as always. Probably still bitter about last week. Thankfully the majority on here were extremely gracious making you look even more puerile.

Bitter? never! I was here when we were **** and cups only buy quicksilver friends as for you Pikey's apart from 1967 your cup final is playing us. <ok>
