Meh, the rafa thing was a bit different with H&G and loss of key players and replacing them incorrectly ( rafa fault on that..... or was it? Heard we had to make deals with teams that owed us money- Roma-Risse and pompey-crouch). Kenny had all the money who could want and could put together a squad that could manage 8th. He used the full team squad to get to the two cup finals but he also didn't have the Europa to deal with. Just the league and the cups. Still should have got at least another season to right the ship but it is what it is.
Bluff... Not saying was or wasn't different, just added to the fact that we've finished mid-table for a few seasons now
