I just sent the above link to a work mate and he never got the dalek reference. How did it come about anyway? (I know Thommo used it but what's the origin?)
Apparently hard line Irish Republicans who use the internet have been referring to supporters of the now defunct Rangers football club as Daleks for years and years and years because they are unable to climb stairs. A reference to the Ibrox disaster....the fact that no **** had ever heard of it until Timmy Thomson used it about wasps....(i **** you not) is entirely irrelevant.
I heard some stupid twats saying it was a reference to the ibrox disaster but I never believed it cos I'd never heard it until recently, I would like to nkow how it started though
okay I got it now (from comments on the Downfall endorsement) "...a dalek is a thing that just goes round in circles constantly repeating themselves in the same annoying tone)and that is exactly what was meant when comparing sevco fans to daleks,nothing else..."
