With all due respect when we come
To visit S.W.6,
We´ll be looking to not be outdone
And perhaps pulling off a few tricks,
We know we´ve been away a while
From this league and all the limelight,
But we´ll try to compete with style
And hope to put up a good fight,
And underdogs that we will be
With little or no hope at all,
But then that won´t necessarily
Mean that old Goliath can´t fall,
But a stumble or wobble would do
On your part, this next Saturday,
So that we don´t forever rue
The time we passed down your way,
You may think I´m talking us down
But really, whatever we take,
From this part of old London town
In plus points, is icing the cake,
But a defeat by three or four goals
I guess is what most would expect,
And you do have the favourite´s role
Despite having no Petr Cech,
For, whatever straw we can find
We´ll clutch at for all it is worth,
And avoiding defeat would remind
Everyone of our Premier League berth,
So while my head says we´ll get done
The old heart keeps banging away,
Hoping that one more 1-1
Would happily round off the day.
