Totally agree Chazz. He's as bad as that fat twat Prescott for trying to keep himself in the public eye. They should both be consigned to the history books, along with many others, too numerous to mention on here. Certainly he got a great goal to get us into the EPL, with a fair bit of assistance from Cambell. But I am sick of hearing about him since. How much is somebody paying him to say this this time? There are far greater and better players been at City than Windass would have ever been in my opinion. Chilton and Wagstaff to name but two.
In two stints at the club Windass did nothing wrong and a hell of a lot right for Hull City. He's a Hull lad who loves the club and deserves more respect than your sad appraisal.
SPL games aren't competetive, so their league 3 certainly won't be. Raich Carter could still probably get man of the match there most weeks!
Nobody paid him, he wrote it on Twitter and the story got picked up. Go take a cold shower you miserable bastard!
This is a Daily Mail article so whatever he wrote in the People I have no idea about. City Legend and appreciated by the majority apart from a few whiny old buggers like yourself.
no one said he wasnt appreciated. Its just attention seeking. Deano has nothing to do with Rangers has he? No past, no affiliation. Pure attention seeking. He needs a job i suggest he knuckles down and gets one. There was a reason Barmby wouldnt touch him with a barge pole when Deano was begging for a job at City. Great player, cant coach. Wants attention.
Sad that so-called City fans have such negative views about our most famous player. Go anywhere these days and mention Hull City and people know of Deano. I guess its a Hull thing to knock down its heroes, like Deano and Nicky. If i ever get as cynical as Alan and Chazz i know the way to the Bridge and not even Brownie would talk me down!
I don't care what Deano gets up to now, he's a hero. As for him attention seeking, does attention seeking include slagging off a Hull hero on here? Same thing I reckon. I wonder why some Tigers fans support their team when they are queing up to have pops at people associated with the club.
He said the Rangers quote as a joke, saying if Robbie Savage could play so could he. He later tweeted that he was a Don, and couldn't play for Rangers anyway.
Agreed. It's insane that such heroes of our club are just ignored not long after leaving. The Chilton and Windass comparison is pointless too, they played at a different time when you could score a hat-trick whenever you fancied it; nowadays of course it's a bit harder than that. The defences have at least some idea where to go and what to do and the keepers understand that diving with their hands is the best way to save a shot. Also those two never scored the winning goal at Wembley to put us in the PL.
Attention seeking is a pretty flimsy way to have a go at somebody working in the media like Deano, how is he supposed to get work if he's not in the public eye? Nothing to do with this story either. I agree with Premier totally.
Posting a joke on Twitter is not attention seeking, it's just posting a joke on Twitter. Deano did a massive amount for our club and now has some serious personal issues and he deserves better than some of the ****e posted on this thread. It seems we can slag off club legends, but not make a joke about Bruce signing his daughter. World's gone mad.
"with a fair bit of assistance from Cambell" Have you actually seen that volley? "I am sick of hearing about him since" Personally, any news about Deano doing OK is news worth hearing as far as I'm concerned. The bloke hit rock bottom and fought his deamons. He deserves respect for that, not to mention what he did for the club over the years.
I think this and the Adam Pearson/Barmby thread shows how little respect people have for legends of our club. These 3 along with Ash are probably the most influential people who have been involved in City in my lifetime and the lack of respect show to them from so called 'fans' of the club is shocking IMO.
Think a lot of good people get sucked into knocking folk on the internet which is a shame, easy to be a keyboard warrior and harder to show respect for those that deserve it.
