    Permanent outs:
    Camp
    Rudd
    Ward
    Tierney
    Barnett
    Fox
    Adeyemi
    Surman
    Jackson
    C.Martin
    Vaughan

    Loaned out:
    Steer to League one
    Francombe to Championship
    Ayala to Championship
    Smith to Championship

That's the 15 I'd expect to leave in the summer with Garrido and Kamara being made permanent, of course we all know my skills at predicting are average at best

Will somebody please explain to me the benefit to a Premiership Club of keeping a player over 21 years of age on contract and then loaning him out to a lower league Club unless he is returning from injury and needs game time. I can understand loaning out youngsters to develop, get games and show their potential but older players? Surely a Manager must know by the time a player is 22 whether he is likely to make it or not in the Premiership and either puts him in the squad or lets him go. Francomb is 22 years of age and has only played 2 league games for City - neither of them in the Premiership. This season he played 16 games on loan with AFC Wimbledon - what more do we know about his potential now than we did at the start of the season? If we keep him next season and loan him out to,say, Yeovil what will that tell us about his potential for the Premiership? Ayala has been out on loan all season and will have been kept under observation by CH. Surely he has seen enough to decide whether he is good enough for our squad and either put him in the squad or let him go. What is the sense of keeping him and then loaning him out to, say, Barnsley next year? As I have used them as examples I would also say that I can see arguements for putting Francomb and Ayala in the squad but, of course, they would count towards the 25 allowed and others would have to go. To keep overage players on contract and then loan them out is a cop out unless there are very genuine reasons such as recovering from long term injury ( Butterfield ) or you have reached the end of August and have been left with too many players (Ward situation). If people think that Ayala, Bennett and Russell Martin are adequate cover for Bassong and Turner then fair enough, put them in the squad, forget about signing another central defender and let Barnett go. Same with Whittaker, Garrido, Martin and Francomb. I just couldn't see any sense in retaining Ayala, Barnett and Francomb, loaning them out and then signing replacements.

Exactly. the fee for RVW was probsably already in the bank, so no fears on that score. I'd imagine that quite a few of our current squad will be leaving in the summer, but I don't envisage that we'll get much for any of them, even though they have served us well. I quite like the CD story that has just surfaced today as an additional CB and I'm not sure re R Bennett, as he doesn't seem to have improved on his early showing. Another addition I'd like to see is a Creative Midfielder, so that when we pay teams that we have a chance of beating, CH doesn't play 2 DMs.

Looking forward to seeing Butterfield play in Yellow and Green. Has anyone any information on how he's doing at Palace???
