Some of the reactions I have seen is embarrassing <doh> Some thinks he is our best player and losing him is bad but letting him go to you is unthinkable. I think what is hurting some gasheads is the fact our club cant do a thing about it because of the release clause. Some though agrees with how I think on Taylor. Yes he has scored tons of goals and some have been crucial and I will be 1st to say thanks to him because without his goals, we wouldnt be in league 1 now. Thats for sure. But unlike Lambert, I think Taylor can be easily replaceable for us. The sitters that Taylor consistently misses every game is unreal. His shots to goals ratio must be pretty bad. If he was half as good that some gasheads think, he would be getting a lot more goals when you see the chances he has wasted.

Im not trying to be negative about him because it looks like he is leaving. If you see my history of comments just on Taylor and his performances etc, you will see I have not been his biggest fan. When Lambert was with us, I was going on about how great he was and he could make it at the highest level even for England. I was mcked for saying it. Looking at Taylor, I am pretty surprised how many goals he has scored at league 1 this season which is the 1st time played at this level, although a fair few were pens and tap ins. I dont think he will cope at championship level and I really dont think he will cope with the pressure at your club being a ex gas player. He is very much a confidence player and if he misses a chance and gets stick from the crowd, it could all go very wrong for him and yourselves. When that happened with us, our manager stuck with him. Last season, Taylor went through 2 periods without a goal, both periods lasting over 10 games. I cant see your fans and your manager having that much patience with him, especially when you need goals to stay up! And I am saying this with the greatest respect <ok>

Some of the fans that said you were worth Trillions will probably be upset at this move ;)

I edited my post because it was boring but anyway ... City have no real resources, none. skint, that is not semantics, the loans and liabilities are in the accounts = Fact.

I don't really care as long as SL is there to bail us out ... Which saw seen BCFC relegated previously when Mr Lansdown could not due unwillingness/FFP. Not a sensible way to run an FC, so In the scheme of things £300k is easier to service.
What Football clubs are ran sensibly? Arsenal maybe, can't think of many others!

I got to say that im surprised by the lack of a meltdown on some forums. Majority are not fussed that he is going but wished the fee was more. There has been some meltdown comments which is just embarrassing.

NowI have seen reports that there is a release clause and its £300k. But im not sure if it is true though. Reason why is because DC said this a few weeks ago...

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has ruled out the possibility of star striker Matty Taylor being sold during the January transfer window.
Clarke was adamant that Taylor will be staying put and that he was more interested in adding to his squad during the window when it opens on Monday.
"We don't need to sell anyone" Clarke said. "Matty is not going anywhere. We'd have to be talking a silly money offer of something like £10 million. Even then I don't think I'd consider it.

So either there is no release clause or DC doesnt understand the release clause system <laugh>

CJS downplaying this situation is comical <laugh> every sag on twitter is having a pure meltdown. The **** they are posting is hilarious. I don't care if Taylor never scores or ever plays for us, the 300k has been worth this day <laugh><laugh> clarkey saying last month they wouldn't sell Taylor for less than 10m and now we've got him for 300,000 <laugh> proper wetting it!! What a club we are mind. Proper rustlers!

Im not downplaying it. I even posted on here a link to what I said in the Leeds board in the summer when they asked about his services. If you care to look at any comments of mine since Taylor joined us, I havent been his biggest fan at all. Yes without his goals, no way would we be in league 1 now. So I thank him for what he has done for us but I honestly am not fussed about him leaving us. I would be more annoyed if he joined another league 1 club (I guess I will be annoyed in the summer then ;)) as I dont think he is at all championship quality and I am finding it pretty funny that you will be pinning your hopes on him to save you and you will soon see that I am right about him when he plays for you. There is only 1 thing that I am annoyed about. That is the fee involved, if the reported £300k release clause is true.

As for every "sag" on twitter having a pure meltdown, thats just pure exaggeration. Some are of course but from what I have seen and im sure I have seen more gas comments than yourself, the majority of gas comments have been more similar to mine. Nice try though <smooch>

I just love the fact that you and others seem to be very happy that your wasting money, just in the hope of seeing a gas meltdown, instead of wanting better players than what you currently have, you know, the players thats have got you 8 defeats in a row and sitting 4th bottom. Instead of getting players who can actually make a difference and keep you up. That to me is extremily funny to me. I would rather my club sign players to improve us and keeps us up than sign players who wont improve us just so it annoys a club in a lower league <laugh> Not rocket science is it Shiny <laugh>

I agree with you,but Taylor is a goal scorer no doubt about it,HE NOW HAS A CHANCE TO SHOW THAT IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP,BIG MOVE FOR HIM.
It will go one of two ways, sink, or swim,i have a funny feeling he will swim.
£300.000 is a snip for a guy that has scored the goals he has.
championship will suit his style of play.

We will have to see what happens. I can only go by what I have seen and you can only go by what you have heard <ok>

As for the price, im hearing it aint £300k. Its more like 30 pieces of silver <laugh> Judus <laugh>

"the release cause" depends on the wording ...
for £1m plus expenses you can go...
for £1m we will allow you to negotiate a move depending on
for £1m we will listen to offers and decide if you can move on
loads of variations, just means he , the player can think about whether he should move on or not ....

can he play tonight if registered?

No. Apparently it had to be done by midday. Only got by twitter though <ok>

But should be free to be announced on the pitch before the game or at half time of course <ok> Probably be best to do it before kick off. Wont be as good doing it at half time 3-0 down of course ;)
